Lauren Swanson, Instructor

Lauren immediately fell in love with dance at the age of three. She began competitive training at the age of five in her hometown, Eden Prairie, Minnesota and competed throughout the Midwest for almost 10 years. During high school, Lauren became captain of the Eden Prairie Pom Squad. They won two jazz national championships in 2009 and 2010 at Universal Dance Association (UDA) nationals, along with many other top titles throughout her four years on the team. At Mankato State University, MN she began studying dance before being accepted to Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester in New York City. There she grew in many styles from top training, had the opportunity to dance alongside talented choreographers, and participated in various industry seminars. Once home to MN, Lauren began teaching at a local dance studio while continuing training and performing around Minneapolis. She choreographed for teams around the Midwest and spent time teaching in Oviedo, FL and Melbourne, FL before moving to the Tampa area. Throughout her life, Lauren has continuously expanded her knowledge of ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical/contemporary, musical theater, hip hop, pom, acro, strength, flexibility, expression, and performance. Lauren has taught all ages and styles for over 7 years. She prides herself in being a positive resource and role model for all dancers. Lauren is ecstatic to become a part of the staff at All That Dance. She could not be happier to share her love and passion for dance with Tampa.
